Gates-Suter Architects Inc. is a dedicated, award winning architectural practice based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Our portfolio of work includes varied project types and scales, new construction and renovation, and draws from 20 years of design and construction experience. Our involvement is in all phases of a project, from initial programming and design through construction.

We see architecture as a meaningful and generous contributer to it’s context, both built and natural. Our projects are informed by this broad context, and together with client, site, materials and assembly, these layer each architectural exploration with their own unique requirements and aspirations.

In addition to practice, Joanne teaches as an Adjunct Professor at UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
